TitleQ, Jump Straight To Headlines In Firefox
Many websites display more than one headline on their frontpage. These headlines link to articles or post on individual pages on the website. TitleQ is a handy Firefox add-on that adds a keyboard shortcut to the browser to jump straight between headlines.
Headlines in technical terms are most of the time defined with HTML headline tags like h1, h2 or h3. The extension scans the page for those elements and selects the most likely used to display the post titles or headlines on the page.
All it takes to jump between headlines on a page is to press Ctrl-Down or Ctrl-Up. The first shortcut jumps to the next headline on the page, the last to the previous headline.
TitleQ is helpful for users who regularly evaluate headlines on pages. It is possible to do that without add-on, by pressing Page Down or Page Up for instance, scrolling or using the arrow keys on the keyboard. None of these methods on the other hand are that exact which means that they often nee! d some fine-tuning.
A comparable solution is the SiteFlow bookmarklet which offers more than just the ability to jump between headlines. The bookmarklet can also be used to navigate a website, to the next or previous page. Another benefit is that it is compatible with all modern web browsers supporting bookmarklets.
TitleQ is available exclusively for the Firefox web browser. It is available for direct installation at the Firefox add-on repository.
